ROASTERY
The Process
-
Harvest It
When harvesting the coffee bean, they are stripped off the branch by hand or machine. In most countries, the crop is picked by hand in a labor-intensive and difficult process. Only the ripe cherries are harvested. Once they are selected, they go through a process of laying them out in the sun to dry, pulping machine, and fermentation. Then they go through another drying process.
-
Mill It
The beans go through a machine to be polished (remove the silver skins), sorted, and graded in size, weight, color, or imperfections. To complete this process they are passed through a number of screens. To separate the heavy from light beans they use heavy forces of air.
Then they are ready to be exported.
-
Roast It
This is where all the goodness happens. Our roaster is a local company that uses a classic drum roaster that is connected to computers that monitor the bean temperature, moisture level, and other characteristics throughout every roast. This ensures a quality product that we offer in our coffee shops and online store.
-
Package It
The packaging blocks in the freshness to guarantee fresh beans until we need them. We take great pride in our products and wouldn’t serve anything less than perfection.
-
